Lawrence A. Lefkowitz, M.D.
Dr. Lefkowitz graduated from Columbia College (A.B.) and from the Downstate Medical Center (M.D.). After Internship in Surgery at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York he served as Surgeon with the rank of Captain in the Medical Corps of the United States Army.
After completing two years of active duty in the military, he was a Resident in Internal Medicine at Mount Zion Hospital in San Francisco and a Resident in General Surgery at Montefiore Hospital in New York. He completed Orthopaedic Surgical Residency at the New York Orthopaedic Hospital of the Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York, including rotations at the New York State Rehabilitation Hospital in Haverstraw, New York
